I’m Gregory Burt, founder of Power to Heal Relationships, LLC. After a 33-year career with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs—retiring as Deputy District Director overseeing more than 73 counseling centers nationwide—I now dedicate my work to helping couples and individuals heal, rebuild trust, and create lasting connection. I also bring the lived experience of a decorated U.S. Army combat veteran, allowing me to understand trauma from both a clinical and personal perspective.
My own marriage of more than 30 years has taught me that relationships can endure even the hardest seasons. My wife and I have navigated miscommunication, disconnection, and even infidelity, yet through intentional commitment and focused work, we grew stronger than ever. That transformation inspired me to launch Power to Heal Relationships in 2022 so others could experience the same hope, clarity, and renewal.
I hold a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology and am currently completing a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy at Amberton University. Upon graduation, I will qualify for both the LMFT and LPC licenses. I am also an active member of the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors (IAMFC).
Today, I specialize in helping couples rebuild after betrayal, break patterns that keep them stuck, and create emotionally safe and supportive partnerships. I also work with individuals navigating separation or divorce—providing guidance, healing, and preparation for healthier relationships in the next chapter of their lives.
At Power to Heal Relationships, we integrate real-life experience, evidence-based training, and deep compassion to help clients not only talk about change—but truly live it.
