With more than three decades of experience in counseling, leadership, and helping people navigate life’s challenges, Gregory Burt brings professional expertise, personal experience, and genuine compassion to his work.
As the founder of Power to Heal Relationships, Gregory specializes in helping couples rebuild trust, strengthen communication, restore emotional connection, and heal after betrayal. His approach combines evidence-based counseling, practical tools, and the Power to Heal Journey to help clients create meaningful and lasting change.
Gregory is a U.S. Army combat veteran who served during Desert Shield and Desert Storm. Following his military service, he built a 33-year career with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, including years of counseling veterans and families and later serving in senior leadership. These experiences strengthened his understanding of resilience, trauma, relationships, leadership, and the challenges people face during some of the most difficult seasons of their lives.
Drawing from his professional background, military service, and more than 30 years of marriage, Gregory understands that strong relationships are not built by avoiding challenges, but by learning how to work through them. His own life experiences have reinforced his belief that healing is possible—even after conflict, disappointment, betrayal, or seasons when a relationship feels stuck.
Gregory’s goal is to create a safe, supportive environment where clients can better understand the patterns affecting their relationships, make intentional choices, develop practical skills, and move toward healthier ways of connecting with the people who matter most.
Outside of his professional work, Gregory values family, faith, continued learning, and serving others. These values are at the heart of Power to Heal Relationships and his commitment to helping individuals, couples, and families create change that extends beyond the therapy room.
At Power to Heal Relationships, we combine real-life experience, evidence-based counseling, practical tools, and genuine compassion to help clients do more than simply talk about change—we help them understand it, practice it, and live it.
Because when people heal, relationships heal. When relationships heal, families grow stronger. And when families grow stronger, future generations are changed.
